Speeches and Home Learning

NO .... Home Learning of spelling and basic facts Weeks 7 and 8 (3rd September to 17th September)

During Weeks 7 and 8, your child will write and prepare a speech at home to present to their class during Weeks 9 and 10. 

Next week will bring home the information on how to prepare their speech and what they will be marked on. The MAIN aim of speeches is for each student to confidently present information to their class. If for some reason they do not bring this home please email or speak to one of the Kawaka Syndicate teachers.



PLEASE keep hearing your child read and you read to them.

The Changing Face of Learning and Our Future Greytown School Direction

Tonight Tuesday 28th August in the hall, 7-8pm we will be having an information evening for ALL our parents and whànau to begin to unpack The Changing Face of Learning and Our Future Greytown School Direction. This evening will be hosted by Donna Golightly from Using Technology Better and Patrice.



Gill and Esther from Enviro Schools are coming to speak to Kawaka Syndicate on Thursday as we continue to inquire into our Green-Gold status and how we (the children and teachers) can work towards sustaining our environment for the future.
